The wedding party is so important in making sure the couple has the BEST wedding ever! Here are some tips and reminders for supporting your friends and family members on their Big Day.

Wedding Suites - The Cottage & The Granary

  • It’s no fun to do clean up after the party has started! While personal items can be stored in the suites during the event, we have found it works best if you pack up personal items before the ceremony so you can spend time during the reception on the dance floor. This way, your items are easy to grab at the end of the night.

  • The suites are only for the wedding party. This means anyone listed on your program. Relatives or friends that arrive early are not permitted in the buildings and are not able to consume any food or alcohol you brought to the suites.

  • Alcohol will need to be given to the bartender or locked in vehicles prior to the ceremony. Abella staff will be conducting a quick search for alcohol during the ceremony. Any alcohol found will be given to the bartenders to hold; it will be returned at the end of the night!

  • Once the reception starts, the suites are not intended to be a place to hang out for safety reasons. If there are frequent group visits to the suites, Abella staff has the right to lock them (if this happens, the venue manager will gladly unlock them if you need to grab something).

Reminders

  • Don't over pack! We've seen so many people pack a whole suitcase and regret it because of the clean up. Bring only what you NEED. Don't bring excessive amounts of food, beverages, and personal belongings as it complicates the clean up.

  • Pace yourself! It will be a fun but long day! Make sure you eat and drink water throughout the day.

  • Once the ceremony begins, all alcohol must come from our licensed bar service.

  • Be responsible with alcohol use. There will be plenty of opportunities to drink. If you need to use the restroom or throw up, please use the designated restrooms. If you get sick and it requires our staff to clean up, the couple will forfeit a portion of their damage deposit.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in any buildings. Please use the designated smoking area.

  • Make sure you have your ride figured out! Cars cannot stay overnight.

  • Public urination is not permitted on the property. It is a violation of the couples’ contract and will result in loss of a portion of the couples’ damage deposit.
